Podcast transcripts and alerts, in your own code

A REST API for searching what podcasts say, reading their transcripts and managing alerts — with every new match pushed to your endpoint as a signed webhook.

One request to the moment it was said

Search transcripts, then ask an episode where the words were spoken. Each passage comes back with its start and end in seconds. Authenticate with an API key as a bearer token; errors, limits and paging work the same on every route.

curl -G https://api.podzone.fm/api/v1/episodes/search \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $PODZONE_API_KEY" \
  --data-urlencode 'q="brand safety"' \
  -d scope=transcript

What you can build on

Search

Episodes by what was said or by title and description, and podcasts by name.

Transcripts

Find words in an episode with timestamps, read a transcript a page at a time, or download it as JSON, text, SRT or VTT.

Alerts

Create alerts to be notified when podcasts talk about the things that matter to you.

Teams

Teams allow you to manage alerts for customers, brands and other groups within your organization.

A documented contract

Every endpoint, field and error is in an OpenAPI schema, ready for Postman or a client generator.

Your AI assistant too

The same data, with the same key, through Podzone's MCP server.

Signed webhooks

Give a team a webhook and every new match from its alerts is POSTed to it, seconds after it is found. Nothing to poll.

  • Signed to the Standard Webhooks specification, so you can prove each delivery came from Podzone, with libraries in most languages.
  • Retried for about a day if your endpoint is down, with every delivery in a log you can read.
  • Testable: send a signed sample to your endpoint, or to a tunnel on your laptop.

How to verify a delivery

Questions

Is the API on every plan?

Yes, Free included. Each plan has its own number of requests a minute and a month, counted per account. See the plans.

Do webhook deliveries count against my limits?

No. Only the requests you make count.

What may I do with the data?

Use it inside your organisation and in work for your clients. Redistributing it in bulk is not allowed, and training models on it needs a separate licence; the Terms of Service say exactly what is allowed.
